You are Invited to Join us for the 2017 Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup!

The Great Outdoors | March 29, 2017

BY THE FOX-WOLF WATERSHED CLEAN-UP

Cleanup sites have been coordinated throughout northeastern Wisconsin from Fond du Lac up to Green Bay. Last April, the Cleanup was a successful event with nearly 500 volunteers cleaning up in 38 locations throughout the Fox-Wolf River Basin. In total, 307 bags of trash were pulled from our watershed along with televisions, tires, barrels, and more!

Our fifth annual Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup is taking place on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2017. The Cleanup will take place from 9:00am to 11:30am, and the Cleanup Picnic will be held from noon until 2:00pm.

This year, we have organized more than 40 Cleanup Locations Along Our Lakes, Rivers & Streams.

We have set a goal of registering at least 700 volunteers.

The Clean Up Picnic

All volunteers are welcome to join us at the Clean Up Picnic, which includes FREE lunch and afternoon of live music from J-Council, games, bounce house, climbing wall, free raffles, and more. The picnic will be at: The Refuge, 1000 N. Ballard Road, Appleton.

YOU Can Volunteer to Join Us

Volunteers of all ages will come together on this day to support their community and reclaim their watersheds. The Cleanup attracts volunteers of all ages and interests and is supported by individuals, families and groups such as the Wisconsin Geocaching Association, Pulse Young Professional Network, UW-Oshkosh Wildlife Conservation Club, Graymont employees, and many, many more!

Volunteers will gather at their chosen Cleanup site in the morning, receive cleanup t-shirts and supplies, and learn about our watershed and how we can protect our water resources by working together.

We hope you will join us! There is absolutely no cost to participate. For more information, please contact Kelly Reyer at Kelly@fwwa.org or (920) 915-1502.
